I am a 28 year old male living in the Newark area. I am a full-time wheelchair user with physical and mild learning disabilities. I am also epileptic. I have a complex medical history but live my life to the full.

I love sport and am a Manchester united fan. I love watching and playing sport. I play wheelchair basketball in a league and wheelchair tennis for fun. I enjoy shopping and food – sometimes too much! I like to go to the cinema and spending time at home relaxing. I would like to say that I am a happy person and quite sociable with people I know. My family and my dog are really important to me and I enjoy spending time with them.

I like to go out and about, so it is essential that the successful candidate has a full UK driving license and a car that can fit a manual wheelchair in it.

The successful candidate will be required to assist me with:

Personal care Health tasks

Getting up and going to bed

My mum cooks but if she is away I would need someone to prepare food for me

Laundry and cleaning

If my parents are not available, I may need help attending appointments

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

Good sense of humor

Able to motivate me if I am feeling a bit down

Be personable and able to respect confidentiality and dignity

Be professional and have integrity

It is essential that applicants:

Do not smoke or vape on shift

Are flexible and able to cover extra shifts if needed (including weekends and bank holidays)

Have a clear DBS

Attend and complete all training in a timely manner

Are happy to be around dogs

Have the Right to Work in the UK

Hours available per week: Up to 40 hours (flexible) – full time and part time equally considered

Hourly Rate: £13.13
