A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate employees during January for our first Employee of the Month Award.
We truly were overwhelmed by the response and the wonderful stories shared. It really was a difficult decision to make. We’re thrilled to announce that the winner of the inaugural award is Reuben Osterbry!
Huge congratulations to Reuben, who was nominated by our client’s mother for several, all very wonderful, reasons:
• Showing exemplary loyalty and commitment to our client and fellow colleagues;
• For planning a fantastic New Year’s Eve celebration party for our client who would usually spend NYE with his family. Due to COVID this wasn’t possible, but thanks to Reuben’s efforts our client had a wonderful evening, including karaoke! He also arranged lots of videos to the family so they could see our client having fun.
• For covering several shifts at short notice despite having a wisdom tooth infection and even scheduling his dentist appointment around our client’s needs!
On behalf of everyone at Solo, thank you so much to Reuben for your commitment and hard work and congratulations on the well-deserved award. We have sent your voucher and certificate to you.
We had numerous other nominations and everyone who was nominated will also receive a certificate to recognise their hard work. Here is just a selection of those nominations:
Yvonne Willmer: for (sacrificing time with her family and) working Christmas Day so that the rest of the team could have Christmas Day off to spend with their families
Andrea Knight: ‘for always showing such commitment and dedication to not just those we support during such a challenging time but also the staff team. (For her) positive attitude and for always seeing the best in others.
Nicky Veselis: for ‘always makes me smile with her emails. She is such a busy lady and she is juggling home schooling and working and doing a fantastic job. Thank you’
Natalee Prior: for ‘always (having) time for me, for checking in on me to see if I am ok. She is a great colleague.
Jess Rees: for ‘working above and beyond what Solo or the families could ever have expected (and) remains fun and so full of creative ideas for the clients.
Finally: to the whole team who support our client in Lincolnshire: for supporting our client and finding ‘creative and innovative ways to bring fun, interest, laughter and joy into her daily life, helping her remain alert, responsive, motivated, engaged and in touch’. They also support each other immensely and remain positive throughout.
